Reliance Jio has solidified its position as the leading home broadband service provider in Odisha, with the latest data from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) confirming its dominance. As of March 31, 2025, Jio has surpassed a significant milestone with over 1.5 lakh JioAirFiber subscribers in the state, driven by its powerful True5G Standalone network.

Jio’s supremacy in the 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) segment is particularly striking. The number of JioAirFiber users in Odisha is more than five times that of its nearest competitor, underscoring the company’s overwhelming leadership. Overall, the state’s total 5G FWA subscriber base reached 1.77 lakh in March, with Jio contributing the lion’s share.

In the wireline broadband segment, Jio continues to lead with over 2.92 lakh homes and establishments across Odisha connected via its high-speed JioFiber service. On the mobile front, Jio added over 1.35 lakh new subscribers in March alone, taking its total mobile user base in the state to around 1.6 crore on its 4G and 5G networks.

On the national scale, Jio remains the undisputed leader in the rapidly growing 5G FWA space, commanding over 82% market share with more than 55.7 lakh JioAirFiber subscribers as of March 2025. The company also topped subscriber additions, bringing in 3.34 lakh new JioAirFiber users in March — the highest among all providers.

Furthermore, Jio led in overall subscriber growth, accounting for 2.17 million of the 2.93 million new telecom users added across the industry in March, capturing a 74% share of net additions.

JioAirFiber has been a game-changer in enhancing digital inclusion across rural and semi-urban areas by overcoming last-mile connectivity challenges. It brings high-speed broadband and home entertainment to households and small businesses that were previously unreachable due to the logistical complexities of extending fiber-optic infrastructure.

To celebrate the ongoing cricket season, Jio is offering a limited-period 50-day FREE trial of JioFiber and JioAirFiber for home users. The trial includes access to 800+ TV channels, 11+ OTT apps, unlimited Wi-Fi, and more. By simply recharging with Rs 299 or above using a Jio SIM before May 15, 2025, users can enjoy uninterrupted, high-definition streaming of every match — anytime, anywhere.
