In a remarkable demonstration of corporate citizenship and community commitment, the JK Organisation — one of India’s most respected industrial conglomerates — conducted a widespread blood donation campaign across its plants and sales offices to commemorate the 92nd birth anniversary of Late Shri Hari Shankar Singhania, the visionary leader and former President of the group.
The humanitarian initiative witnessed overwhelming participation, with nearly 7,800 employees across JK Organisation’s group companies stepping forward to donate blood. Each donor underwent basic health screening procedures, including blood pressure, hemoglobin, and weight checks, before making their contribution. To honour their generosity, all participants were awarded certificates of appreciation.
The event was a heartfelt tribute to the enduring legacy of Hari Shankar Singhania, a stalwart industrialist and recipient of the Padma Bhushan, who played a pivotal role in the transformation and expansion of the $4-billion JK Organisation. Under his leadership, the group ventured into new domains, bringing several companies under its umbrella and laying the foundation for its present-day global presence.
Speaking on the occasion, Bharat Hari Singhania, Chairman of JK Organisation, said, “Our founders firmly believed that business must serve a higher purpose — and that belief continues to guide us. For over a hundred years, JK Organisation has placed the well-being of communities at the heart of its mission. Long before the term ‘CSR’ even existed, giving back was part of our DNA. This blood donation drive, spanning across JKO Group companies, is a humble yet meaningful way to support those in urgent need. It is also our tribute to the enduring legacy of the Late Shri Hari Shankar Singhania on his birth anniversary — a leader whose life was devoted to nation building, social service and economic progress.”
This group-wide initiative saw active participation from all JK Organisation companies including JK Tyre, JK Paper, JK Lakshmi Cement, JK Agri Genetics, JK Fenner, JK Foods, Delopt, CliniRx Tangent Research Ltd, JK Insurance, Indica Travels, PSRI Hospital, and JK Lakshmipat University. The coordinated effort underlined the group’s unified commitment to social causes and its founder’s vision of making a meaningful difference to society.
With a rich legacy spanning over 140 years, JK Organisation today operates as a diversified multinational powerhouse with interests across various sectors and a manufacturing footprint in countries including Mexico, Indonesia, Romania, Belgium, Portugal, and the UAE.
