In a significant step forward, JSW Steel’s Odisha Mining Division inaugurated its new corporate office near Barbil town on Friday, underscoring the company’s ongoing commitment to growth, sustainability, and employee well-being. The inauguration ceremony began with a traditional puja on the premises, showcasing the company’s deep-rooted cultural values.
The event was graced by senior leadership, including Business Head Prasanna Panda, Mining Operations Head Ram Shankar Sharma, HR Head Chittaranjan Bahinipati, and Security & Safety In-charge Shri Sanjeev Choudhury, who led the ceremonial proceedings.
Spread over 1.87 acres, the newly constructed two-story office complex is designed to accommodate around 100 employees. It includes a guest house, landscaped gardens, an expansive lawn, and enhanced parking facilities, offering a welcoming and functional space for work and collaboration.
A highlight of the facility is its strong focus on sustainability. The office incorporates eco-friendly features such as energy-efficient LED lighting, solar panels, and an upgraded transformer to optimize energy usage. These green initiatives reflect JSW Steel’s broader environmental responsibility and its efforts to align operational growth with sustainability goals.
The building is also equipped with state-of-the-art security systems, including advanced surveillance and access control mechanisms, ensuring a secure working environment. Additionally, modern conference rooms, ergonomic workspaces, and dedicated recreational areas aim to foster a productive and employee-friendly atmosphere.
The inauguration ceremony witnessed enthusiastic participation from employees and senior officials, who celebrated the milestone with pride and optimism for the division’s future.
