As part of its commitment to health and well-being, Navaratna CPSE National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) has launched a series of wellness initiatives in the run-up to the International Day of Yoga 2025, to be observed on June 21.
Highlighting its focus on holistic wellness, NALCO is set to host a Mega Yoga Camp across all its establishments on the International Day of Yoga. In the lead-up to the celebration, the company has rolled out a month-long programme of ‘Yogabhyas’ sessions across its various units and neighbouring communities. The initiative aims to integrate yoga into the daily routines of employees, their families, and local residents.
Yoga sessions are being held at key locations including the Corporate Office, Mines & Refinery Complex at Damanjodi, Smelter Plant, Captive Power Plant (CPP), and Coal Mines Division in Angul, as well as the Port Facilities in Visakhapatnam. Employees, contractual workers, and security personnel have shown enthusiastic participation in the ‘Yoga Break at Workplace’ sessions, reinforcing a shared commitment to healthier lifestyles.
Special sessions have also been curated exclusively for female employees and apprentices at the Damanjodi unit, encouraging inclusive participation in the wellness movement. Additionally, NALCO’s regional offices across India have conducted yoga breaks during working hours to promote employee well-being and enhance workplace productivity.
Aligned with the Government’s ‘Jan Bhagidari’ initiative, NALCO has expanded its outreach through Yoga Boot Camps and awareness sessions in peripheral villages around its Koraput and Angul complexes. These efforts aim to foster a culture of preventive healthcare and build awareness about the transformative benefits of yoga.
Through its proactive initiatives, NALCO continues to support the national movement to embrace yoga as a sustainable and enriching way of life.
