BONGAIGAON, JUNE 21, 2025
NTPC Bongaigaon observed the International Day of Yoga 2025 with great enthusiasm, drawing active participation from employees, their families, and residents of the NTPC township. The celebration reflected a shared commitment to wellness, unity, and sustainability, in alignment with this year’s global theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”
The event was led by Arnab Maitra, Head of Project, NTPC Bongaigaon, who joined employees, family members, and community members in a mass yoga session held at the station premises. The programme highlighted the essential connection between personal health and planetary well-being, reinforcing NTPC’s broader mission of fostering holistic development and sustainable lifestyles.
The yoga session was expertly conducted by Madhusudan Pramanik, a certified yoga practitioner, member of the Indian Yoga Association, and a former NTPC employee. Under his guidance, participants engaged in a series of asanas, pranayama (breathing techniques), and guided meditation. His approach focused on improving both physical vitality and mental clarity — essentials for achieving balance in professional and personal life.
Prominent attendees at the event included Debabrata Kar, General Manager (O&M); Kasturi Maitra, President of Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club; and Soumya Kar, Vice President of the Club. Their presence, along with representatives from employee unions, association bodies, welfare committees, and township residents, reflected the inclusive and community-oriented ethos of NTPC Bongaigaon.
The celebration created a vibrant and positive atmosphere, uniting people across generations in the spirit of wellness. As the session concluded, participants reaffirmed their collective resolve to integrate yoga into their daily routines — promoting inner peace, emotional resilience, and a conscious commitment to a healthier planet.
