In a major consumer-friendly move, TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL), a joint venture between Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, has announced a temporary halt to all routine maintenance-related power outages until 15th June 2025. The decision aims to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during the peak summer months and bring much-needed relief to residents across its service areas.
The company has confirmed that no scheduled shutdowns for maintenance activities will take place during this period. However, power interruptions may still occur under exceptional circumstances such as new service connections, emergency safety measures, or critical infrastructure projects. In such events, TPCODL has assured that all affected consumers will receive prior notification.
“We understand that summer brings added challenges and uninterrupted power is essential for comfort and wellbeing,” said Arvind Singh, CEO of TPCODL. “Our field teams are committed to ensuring reliable power supply while continuing critical work with utmost care. As a consumer-centric organization, this is our commitment — to serve responsibly and minimise any inconvenience,” he added.
TPCODL’s proactive approach reflects its continued focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence. By deferring planned maintenance, the utility provider aims to offer consistent service, helping residents manage soaring temperatures and increased power demand more comfortably.
This move comes as a welcome step for thousands of consumers across Central Odisha, reinforcing TPCODL’s pledge to prioritize public convenience without compromising on safety and service standards.
