In a historic milestone for India’s infrastructure sector, Adani Cement has achieved a staggering 100 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) production capacity — setting a world record for the fastest pace ever reached in the cement industry.

Chairman of the Adani Group, Gautam Adani, took to social media platform X on Monday to celebrate the achievement, calling it a testament to India’s economic momentum and the group’s long-standing commitment to nation-building.

“100 million tonnes capacity established at a world-record pace! Adani Cement is now one of the most efficient cement manufacturers on the planet,” Adani said. He added that this achievement underscores “our unwavering belief in India’s growth story, and the strength of a set of trusted brands built over decades.”

Ambuja Cements, the Group’s flagship cement and building materials company, played a central role in this success. In FY25, the company reported its highest-ever annual revenue at ₹35,045 crore, marking a 6 per cent year-on-year growth. Annual profit after tax (PAT) rose by 9 per cent to ₹5,158 crore, while total annual volume surged 10% to reach 65.2 million tonnes. Additionally, the company recorded its highest-ever quarterly EBITDA at ₹1,868 crore, up 10 per cent YoY, and a 75% jump in standalone PAT to ₹929 crore.

These results were driven by multiple strategic initiatives: improved KPIs across operations, strong volume growth, effective asset integration, enhanced cost efficiency, and robust synergies within the Adani Group. The company also commissioned a 2.4 MTPA brownfield expansion in Farakka (West Bengal), debottlenecked 0.5 MTPA across various plants, and operationalized 299 MW of renewable energy capacity, as part of its 1,000 MW target set for completion by June 2026.

With this remarkable performance, Ambuja Cements has now become the ninth-largest cement company in the world — reinforcing its commitment to building the future of India.
