JSW Foundation inaugurates doctor’s quarters at Koida CHC

In a significant move to strengthen local healthcare infrastructure, the JSW Foundation, Odisha Mines Division, has inaugurated a newly constructed doctor’s quarters within the premises of the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Koida. The facility was formally inaugurated by Bonai MLA Shri Laxman Munda.

The initiative aims to provide comfortable and well-equipped residential accommodations for medical professionals, ensuring they have a supportive environment to deliver quality healthcare services to the community.

Present at the inaugural ceremony were Prasanna Panda, Business Head of JSW Steel Odisha Mines Division; Chittaranjan Bahinipati, Head of HR; Sabal Jha, CSR Team Leader; Partha Behura, CSR Manager; and CHC staff members.

Following the formal inauguration, the newly built quarters were officially handed over to the Medical Officer in Charge.

The addition of the doctor’s quarters marks a key milestone in the ongoing efforts to improve rural healthcare facilities. Strategically located near the hospital and equipped with modern amenities, the facility is expected to enhance the working and living conditions of medical staff, thereby improving overall patient care.

Speaking at the event, officials and healthcare professionals expressed optimism about the positive impact of the facility. Many noted that improved living conditions would contribute to increased efficiency and morale among healthcare workers.

By prioritizing the welfare of medical professionals, JSW Foundation and local authorities aim to attract and retain skilled doctors in remote areas, thereby strengthening the healthcare system across the region.
