IMI Bhubaneswar sets the stage for future leaders with grand welcome to PGDM Batch 2025–27

IMI Bhubaneswar ushered in a new chapter for its incoming PGDM Batch of 2025–27 with an inspiring and thoughtfully curated Orientation Programme. The inaugural event reflected the institute’s commitment to shaping not just competent professionals but also compassionate, socially responsible individuals prepared to meet the dynamic demands of the business world.

The ceremony began with a warm welcome address by Prof. Supriti Mishra, Dean (Academics), who emphasized IMI’s focus on academic excellence, strong industry interface, and comprehensive student development. She encouraged students to make the most of the opportunities offered throughout their journey at IMI.

Prof. P. C. Biswal, Director of IMI Bhubaneswar, delivered a motivational address that resonated deeply with the fresh batch. He urged the students to view their time at the institute not merely as a stepping stone to placements, but as a transformative experience of continuous learning, self-discovery, and purposeful engagement. Stressing on the importance of mental and physical wellness, academic discipline, and community involvement, Prof. Biswal painted a holistic picture of what it means to be a true leader in today’s world.

Adding further depth to the occasion, Chief Guest Suraj Malik, Founder and CEO of Legacy Growth, shared powerful insights drawn from his entrepreneurial journey. He inspired the students to cultivate a strong sense of purpose, focus on smart work, and sharpen their decision-making capabilities. His address encouraged the budding managers to approach challenges with clarity, confidence, and a deep sense of commitment.

The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Prof. Sougata Ray, Chairperson – Program.
