ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) marked the 11th International Day of Yoga with a series of engaging and inclusive celebrations across its Odisha operations, uniting employees, associates, and community members under the global theme – “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.” These thoughtfully curated sessions echoed the company’s commitment to holistic well-being, mindfulness, and community engagement.
In Paradeep, the celebrations began at the picturesque Paradeep Golf Club where AM/NS Ports hosted a vibrant yoga session. More than 100 participants, including members from Nilachakra Club, Ganesh Club, Swami Vivekananda Club, and students from Maa Ambika High School, came together in unison. Under the guidance of a certified yoga instructor, attendees performed a series of asanas and concluded with a tranquil Dhyana session and the resonant chanting of “Om,” enveloping the space in peace and positivity.
Simultaneously, the CSR team of AM/NS India facilitated an energetic yoga session at G.C. High School in Nuagarh, Paradeep. Over 200 students participated, guided by the school’s headmaster and a dedicated yoga teacher, reinforcing the importance of healthy practices from a young age.
At the heart of AM/NS India’s Paradeep Pellet Plant Complex, employees and associates gathered for a comprehensive session led by senior leaders, including Shri U.S.R. Raju, Plant Head, and Shri Rajarshi Sinha, Head of the Power Plant. Addressing the gathering, Shri Raju urged participants to embrace yoga as a daily ritual to boost both physical vitality and mental clarity.
Similar enthusiasm was witnessed at the Dabuna Beneficiation Plant, where employees, partners, and associates actively engaged in yoga routines. Shri Jaikishan Sharma, Head – Logistics, along with the senior leadership team, highlighted the significance of yoga as a life-enhancing discipline that promotes resilience and balance.
The celebrations extended to AM/NS India’s mining locations as well, where vibrant yoga sessions were conducted for employees and their families at Soyabally and Arya Colony in Barbil. Guided by certified yoga practitioners, these sessions created a collective sense of rejuvenation and calm, promoting harmony within and among all participants.
