In a landmark move poised to reshape Nepal’s beverage landscape, Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) arm of Reliance Industries Ltd, has entered the Nepal market through a strategic partnership with the country’s leading conglomerate, Chaudhary Group (CG), to launch the beloved Indian soft drink brand Campa.
This high-impact collaboration signifies RCPL’s first foray into Nepal, reinforcing its long-term commitment to expanding regional footprints while delivering globally benchmarked, value-driven products. The launch comes on the heels of Campa’s successful revival in India in 2023 after RCPL acquired the heritage brand in 2022, reestablishing it as a vibrant player in the Indian soft drink segment.
“We are thrilled to enter the Nepal market with our brand Campa in association with our esteemed partner Chaudhary Group,” said Ketan Mody, Executive Director, RCPL. “Campa is a heritage Indian brand founded more than 50 years ago that continues to enjoy the love of consumers. We’re investing for the long-term and see immense growth potential in this region. With a legacy of delivering innovation at affordable prices, we look forward to transforming the beverage experience for Nepalese consumers.”
Campa is positioned as a symbol of grit, determination, and youthful spirit, resonating with a new generation while evoking nostalgia among older consumers. “Campa has multi-generational relevance and salutes the aspirations of today’s youth,” added Mody. “We’re confident it will strike a chord with consumers across Nepal.”
Speaking on the strategic alliance, Nirvana Chaudhary, Managing Director, Chaudhary Group, said, “We are proud to partner with Reliance Consumer Products to bring Campa to Nepal. This collaboration aligns with our vision of offering distinctive, quality-driven beverages grounded in heritage. Our robust distribution network and local market expertise will help establish Campa as a household favourite, just as it is in India.”
Already available in several Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, Campa’s entry into Nepal marks another major milestone in its global journey. The rollout will leverage Chaudhary Group’s manufacturing and distribution capabilities in the food and beverage sector to ensure a seamless launch.
The initial Campa portfolio for Nepal includes Campa Cola, Campa Lemon, Campa Orange, and energy variants Campa Energy Gold Boost and Campa Energy Berry Kick. With vibrant red, purple, and gold packaging, and pricing designed for accessibility, Campa’s offerings are tailored to suit Nepalese consumer preferences.
Priced competitively, Campa’s 250ml carbonated soft drink bottles – Cola, Orange, and Lemon – will be available at NRs. 30, while Campa Energy Berry Kick 250ml PET is priced at NRs. 40. These honest pricing points underscore RCPL and CG’s shared mission of making quality beverages affordable and enjoyable.
