In a heartening display of its dedication to nurturing future leaders through the Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM), NTPC Bongaigaon had the honour of hosting Kabita Deka, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Kokrajhar, at its GEM facility. Her impactful visit infused fresh enthusiasm and aspiration among the young participants of the program.
Warmly received by members of the Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club along with senior NTPC officials, ADC Deka participated in a highly engaging interactive session with the GEM girls. Sharing her inspiring journey into the civil services, she offered practical insights and deeply motivational guidance, resonating with the budding aspirations of the students. Her authentic narrative — rooted in perseverance, resilience, and purpose—encouraged the girls to dream big and pursue their goals with confidence.
During the visit, Deka was given a guided tour of the GEM infrastructure, showcasing NTPC Bongaigaon’s thoughtfully curated curriculum and enabling ecosystem tailored to foster holistic development among adolescent girls. She lauded the centre’s efforts in shaping a safe and stimulating environment where young minds can thrive.
