OP Jindal School Angul instills leadership spirit through grand Investiture Ceremony

In a spirited celebration of leadership and responsibility, O.P. Jindal School, Angul, hosted its prestigious Investiture Ceremony at the scenic Eden Garden in Jindal Nagar. The solemn occasion witnessed the ceremonial conferring of responsibilities to the newly appointed student leaders, setting the tone for a year of dedication and service.

Dilip Kumar Sinha, President & CHRO of Jindal Steel, Angul, graced the event as the Chief Guest, while Brigadier (Retd.) Dinesh Sharma, Head of Security (SFSS), was the Guest of Honour. Their inspiring presence and thought-provoking addresses elevated the significance of the day.

The ceremony commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the ushering in of knowledge. Welcoming the gathering, Principal Dr. Ashwini Kumar Sahu emphasized the transformative power of leadership nurtured through values and discipline.

In his keynote address, Sinha urged the student body to embrace leadership with empathy and integrity. He noted, “True leadership is not about authority but about accountability. In times of challenge, it is integrity and collective responsibility that guide the path forward.” Echoing similar sentiments, Brigadier Sharma spoke of integrity as the bedrock of strong character and the essence of trustworthy leadership.

Badges of responsibility were ceremoniously presented to the student leaders, symbolizing the trust reposed in them. The school also lauded the achievements of its NCC cadets for their commendable performance in a recent training camp, reflecting the spirit of discipline and dedication.

The event concluded with a gracious vote of thanks by the newly appointed Head Boy and Head Girl, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries and school leadership.

Vice-Principal Dr. Arun Kumar Dash, Administrator Soumya Banerjee, and Senior Mistresses were present to witness the celebration of young leadership. The ceremony was impeccably anchored by a team of enthusiastic students, marking a memorable day of pride and inspiration.
