IFFCO appoints KJ Patel as new Managing Director

IFFCO (Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited), a global leader in the fertilizer industry, has announced the appointment of KJ Patel as its new Managing Director. This pivotal move marks the beginning of a new era for the company, as Patel brings over three decades of experience in the fertilizer sector.

KJ Patel, who previously served as Director – Technical at IFFCO, is recognized for his extensive expertise in the maintenance of Nitrogenous and Phosphatic fertilizer plants. A Mechanical Engineer from Saurashtra University, Patel has been an instrumental figure in IFFCO’s success, particularly as the leader of IFFCO’s Paradeep Plant, which is one of India’s largest and most advanced fertilizer complexes.

Chairman of IFFCO, Dileep Sanghani, expressed his enthusiasm for the appointment, saying, “KJ Patel brings deep industry knowledge and a proven track record of driving operational excellence. His strategic approach aligns perfectly with IFFCO’s long-term goals. Sanghani also extended his gratitude to the outgoing Managing Director, US Awasthi, for his dedicated service to IFFCO and his remarkable contributions to the Indian agricultural landscape. “Awasthi’s leadership has been invaluable in shaping IFFCO’s path, and we thank him for his unwavering commitment to our mission,” he added.
