FACOR launches dry food meal initiative at Ostapal SRUP School under ‘Sathi Siksha Amrut Pariyojana’

Ferro Alloys Corporation Limited (FACOR), a Vedanta Group company, has launched a dry food meal initiative at Sri Ram Upper Primary (SRUP) School in Ostapal, under its flagship CSR programme, FACOR Sathi Siksha Amrut Pariyojana.

The initiative is aimed at improving the nutritional intake of schoolchildren while promoting regular attendance. Under this programme, each student will receive 2–3 healthy dry food items daily, such as bread, jam, biscuits, buns, cupcakes, roasted chana, and Glucovita.

The launch event took place at the SRUP School campus and was graced by key dignitaries, including Ajay Kumar Patra, Head of Ostapal Mines, and Vikas Kumar Chandra, Sarpanch of Kaliapani, along with school staff and community members.

This initiative marks a significant step in FACOR’s sustained efforts toward child welfare and education in the region.
