In a landmark operational feat, Adani Dhamra Port has successfully handled its first-ever steel slab import, marking a significant expansion in its cargo portfolio and reinforcing its position as a key player in India’s logistics network.

The milestone was achieved with the unloading of premium-grade steel slabs from the vessel M.V. HTK Neptune, followed by the efficient loading of over 2,900 metric tonnes (133 slabs) into 45 BFNS wagons in record time. The shipment, part of a total consignment of 35,000 metric tonnes for Jindal Stainless Limited, is now bound for the company’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Kalinganagar, Odisha.

To celebrate the achievement, the port hosted a ceremonial flag-off, with Basuki Nath, Head – HR & IR, leading the proceedings. He was joined by senior port executives including Chinmay Dash, Head – Rail Operations, and Bibhudatta Ray, Head – Cargo Operations, along with other key members of the operations team.

Acknowledging the collective effort, the port authority expressed its appreciation to the workforce, partners, and stakeholders whose coordination and dedication ensured seamless cargo handling and dispatch.

This milestone not only underscores Adani Dhamra Port’s operational excellence but also highlights its growing capability to manage diversified cargo categories, further strengthening its role in supporting India’s industrial growth and integrated supply chain infrastructure.
