FACOR celebrates 79th Independence Day with the community, strengthening bonds of patriotism and sustainability

Ferro Alloys Corporation Ltd. (FACOR) commemorated the 79th Independence Day with spirited celebrations and a strong message of environmental stewardship, hosting dual events at Kathpal and Ostapal schools, as well as government schools in Rampur and Ramkrishnapur Gram Panchayat, Bhadrak.

At Kathpal and Ostapal, the tricolour was proudly hoisted by Mines Head Muthumari, followed by the national anthem and a vibrant student rally carrying messages of unity and national pride. Students enthralled the gathering with cultural performances, including patriotic songs, dances, and speeches that paid tribute to India’s freedom struggle. Teachers took the occasion to inspire students to uphold discipline, responsible citizenship, and a spirit of service to the nation. The celebration concluded with the distribution of sweets, leaving behind a palpable sense of camaraderie and patriotic fervour.

Simultaneously, reaffirming FACOR’s commitment to sustainability, the company distributed 310 saplings across government schools in Rampur and Ramkrishnapur GP. This green initiative, aimed at instilling environmental awareness and responsibility among the youth, saw enthusiastic participation from students and staff alike. Teachers stressed the vital role of greenery in building a sustainable future, while students pledged to nurture the plants, contributing to cleaner, greener school campuses.

Through these combined efforts, FACOR not only celebrated the spirit of India’s independence but also reinforced its dedication to shaping responsible, aware, and environmentally conscious citizens of tomorrow.
