TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL), a joint venture of Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, is redefining rural customer service through its flagship initiative “Gaan Chala”. Organised across villages within its licensed area, these service camps have emerged as crucial touchpoints for delivering electricity-related services directly to communities, reaching thousands of rural consumers.

At the camps, new service connections are processed, billing issues resolved, and consumer queries addressed instantly — eliminating the need for villagers to travel to distant Customer Care Centers. This doorstep approach has not only ensured hassle-free access but also strengthened trust and engagement between TPCODL and rural households.

Beyond immediate service facilitation, “Gaan Chala” is driving digital inclusion. Many consumers are being guided to adopt TPCODL’s digital platforms, enabling them to pay bills online, register complaints, and receive real-time updates. The move is paving the way for faster, transparent, and more convenient access to electricity services in villages.

The initiative also features counselling sessions to spread awareness about TPCODL’s ongoing *“Bill Pay and Win”* scheme. By encouraging timely payments and highlighting the advantages of digital modes, these sessions are making customers active partners in the company’s digital transformation journey.

With “Gaan Chala”, TPCODL is not only bridging service gaps but also building stronger community bonds, ensuring that electricity services remain customer-friendly, transparent, and truly accessible at the grassroots level.
