Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global leader in IT services, consulting, and business solutions, has deepened its partnership with Tryg, one of Scandinavia’s largest non-life insurers, with a seven-year €550 million agreement aimed at accelerating digital transformation and operational excellence across Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.

Under the deal, TCS will deploy its suite of AI and Cloud solutions to streamline Tryg’s complex IT ecosystem, automate core processes, and enhance customer experience for more than six million policyholders. The company will take end-to-end ownership of application development and management, infrastructure, end-user services, and cybersecurity — supporting Tryg’s “United Towards 27” vision to simplify IT operations and scale innovation across its markets.

The partnership is expected to unify fragmented operating models shaped by years of organic growth and acquisitions, embedding automation and AI across the value chain to boost agility and efficiency.

Johan Kirstein Brammer, Group CEO of Tryg, said: “We are simplifying our IT landscape, enabling us to invest further in technology and expand across Scandinavia. This extended partnership with TCS—one of the world’s leading technology companies—is a key initiative supporting our 2027 target to simplify and scale our business, deliver superior customer experiences, and sharpen competitiveness.”

As part of the agreement, TCS will also implement a digital-first operating model consolidating dispersed regional functions. The move will improve scalability, reduce costs, accelerate go-to-market capabilities, and build a sustainable IT ecosystem for future growth.

K Krithivasan, CEO of TCS, said: “Success today depends on how resiliently enterprises adapt. By combining TCS’ Cloud and AI capabilities with our deep insurance expertise, we will help Tryg transform into an agile, technology-led enterprise with AI at its core. This engagement reflects our shared commitment to building future-ready ecosystems for long-term value creation.”

TCS and Tryg share a strategic relationship spanning over 15 years, with collaborations on multiple transformation programs in the Nordics. Leveraging deep contextual knowledge of the regional market, TCS has pioneered industry-first models to help Danish and Nordic insurers achieve growth and resilience.

TCS has operated in the Nordics for over three decades, with 20,000 professionals serving top enterprises across banking, financial services, insurance, retail, telecom, logistics, manufacturing, life sciences, and technology. Its BFSI business in the region has been ranked #1 in customer satisfaction for eight consecutive years and has consistently been recognised as a Top Employer by the Top Employers Institute.
