Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (DCBL), one of India’s leading cement manufacturers, has undertaken a large-scale tree plantation drive at its Rajgangpur unit in Odisha, planting more than 30,000 saplings across the plant premises, residential colony, and mining areas. The initiative, aligned with the Odisha government’s ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam-2’ campaign, encourages citizens and institutions to contribute to a greener and more sustainable future. The plantation drive was also organized to mark the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Speaking on the occasion, Chetan Srivastav, Executive Director, DCBL and Unit Head, Rajgangpur, said, “At Dalmia Bharat, sustainability lies at the core of our operations. We are grateful to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha for spearheading this noble initiative and are proud to contribute to the state’s ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam-2’ campaign, which promotes environmental conservation. This effort reflects our commitment to protecting natural resources, fostering biodiversity, and creating a lasting ecological legacy for the communities we serve.”

The ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on World Environment Day as a unique initiative that combines environmental responsibility with a heartfelt tribute to Mother Earth. Through this plantation effort, Dalmia Cement has further reinforced its mission of advancing environmental stewardship, supporting community well-being, and working towards a cleaner and greener India.
