Union Bank of India has commenced the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 from October 27 to November 2 across all its branches and offices nationwide, aligning with the Central Vigilance Commission’s theme, “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.”
Marking the beginning of the week-long observance, Asheesh Pandey, Managing Director & CEO of Union Bank of India, administered the Integrity Pledge at the Bank’s Central Office in Mumbai. The event was attended by the Executive Directors, Chief Vigilance Officer, and senior executives, while officials from across the country participated virtually to take the pledge.
Messages from the President of India, Prime Minister, and the Central Vigilance Commission on Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 were shared with all employees, reinforcing the collective commitment towards transparency and ethical governance.
In his address, Asheesh Pandey urged all employees to uphold the highest standards of honesty, probity, and integrity in every aspect of their professional and personal lives, emphasizing that sustainable growth and trust can only be built on a strong foundation of ethical conduct.
As part of the week-long initiative, Union Bank of India has scheduled a series of programs and outreach activities to promote awareness about the Public Interest Disclosure and Protection of Informers (PIDPI) mechanism, vigilance practices, probity, and ethics. The Bank is also organizing special sessions on cybercrime awareness and integrity-focused engagements for youth, women, employees, their families, and the general public, reaffirming its commitment to building a corruption-free and vigilant society.
