Amresh Prasad takes charge as Executive Director of Union Bank of India

Amresh Prasad has formally assumed charge as Executive Director of Union Bank of India, marking a significant addition to the bank’s top leadership team.

Before taking over as Executive Director at Union Bank of India, Prasad served as the Chief General Manager at the corporate office of Punjab National Bank, where he played a key role in steering multiple operational and strategic functions.

With an extensive banking career spanning more than 32 years, Shri Prasad brings with him diverse experience across branch operations, Zonal Offices, and the Head Office. His expertise covers an array of critical domains, including Corporate Credit, Credit Review and Monitoring, and Transaction Monitoring, underscoring his deep understanding of the financial sector.

An alumnus with a graduate degree in Chemistry, he is also a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB), further strengthening his professional credentials.

Prasad has participated in several high-level training and leadership development programmes, including the Leadership Development Program at SBIL Kolkata. He has also successfully completed the Aarohan 2023 FSIB Program conducted by the Financial Services Institution Bureau, reflecting his commitment to continuous learning and leadership excellence.
