In a major initiative to streamline the resolution of electricity-related disputes, TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL), a joint venture of Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, will conduct the 4th National Lok Adalat and Settlement Camp on December 13, 2025. The day-long exercise, organized under the framework of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), aims to provide swift, consumer-friendly redressal for cases involving unauthorized electricity usage and power theft.
The Lok Adalat, scheduled from 9 AM to 5 PM across all TPCODL offices, is expected to benefit thousands of consumers by offering a hassle-free and time-bound platform to settle pending enforcement cases. Dedicated teams will be stationed at Division, Sub-Division, and Section offices to guide consumers through the process of regularizing their electricity connections and closing long-pending disputes.
To ensure transparency and easy access to information, TPCODL has made district-wise guidelines, eligibility criteria, and lists of necessary documents available at all its field offices. Consumers seeking additional assistance or clarification can also approach their nearest Customer Care Centre.
TPCODL has urged all consumers with unresolved enforcement cases to make use of the opportunity and participate in the Lok Adalat for quick, amicable settlements. The initiative, the company said, reinforces its commitment to improving consumer services and promoting lawful electricity usage through a cooperative and solution-oriented approach.
