Adani Foundation strengthens school infrastructure around Gopalpur Port with classroom furniture support

Reinforcing its commitment to inclusive education and community development, the Adani Foundation has distributed around 100 sets of desks and chairs to upper primary government schools located in villages surrounding Gopalpur Port. The initiative is aimed at improving classroom infrastructure and creating a more comfortable and student-friendly learning environment for children in the region.

The distribution programme was organised at Bada Aryapalli Upper Primary School under Aryapalli Panchayat, where two-seater desks and chairs were handed over to schools in Bada Aryapalli, Haripur, Agraharam and Chandrapada. The new furniture is expected to significantly enhance classroom comfort and support better learning outcomes for students.

Gopalpur Port Business Head Prashanta Patra attended the event as the chief guest, along with members of the School Management Committees and local community representatives. Addressing the gathering, Patra underlined the Adani Foundation’s continued focus on strengthening educational facilities in communities neighbouring its operations. He emphasised that education forms the backbone of long-term social and economic development, and reiterated the Foundation’s commitment to supporting government schools through meaningful and need-based interventions.

“The Adani Foundation believes that providing better learning facilities is essential to empower students and nurture their potential. Education is the foundation of sustainable development, and we will continue to extend our support to schools in the areas around Gopalpur Port,” he said.
