The Ministry of Civil Aviation has reaffirmed its commitment to creating a positive, efficient, and clutter-free workplace — physically, digitally, and mentally—through active participation in the Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM) 5.0. The month-long campaign, which began on October 2 and continues till October 31, 2025, focuses on streamlining administrative processes, enhancing workplace hygiene, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
The Ministry has already achieved remarkable progress, completing 87 per cent of its public grievance redressal targets. In a major step toward administrative efficiency, 4,988 physical files have been weeded out, freeing valuable office space. A total of 405 cleanliness drives have been conducted against the target of 480, while the disposal of scrap, e-waste, and redundant materials has freed approximately 31,353 square feet of space. The Ministry has also generated revenue amounting to ₹81.66 lakh through the sale of scrap materials, demonstrating that cleanliness and efficiency can go hand in hand with fiscal prudence.
The campaign is being spearheaded by Minister of Civil Aviation Ram Mohan Naidu, who has been personally monitoring the progress and motivating officials to embrace the spirit of Swachhata. On October 9, 2025, he chaired a comprehensive review meeting with senior officers and heads of organisations under the Ministry to assess ongoing efforts and future targets. A few days later, on October 13, he conducted a walkthrough of the Ministry premises, interacting with staff members, inspecting the canteen and library, and reviewing cleanliness standards firsthand.
Emphasising the importance of a holistic approach to cleanliness, Shri Naidu urged all officials to adopt Swachhata not just as a workplace activity but as a mindset reflected in daily behaviour and thought. Inspired by the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Minister underlined that true efficiency and productivity stem from orderliness, transparency, and mental clarity.
Through SCDPM 5.0, the Ministry of Civil Aviation continues to lead by example in promoting a culture of discipline, accountability, and well-being — transforming not just workspaces but the very ethos of governance.
