Cyber safety awareness programme held at O.P. Jindal School, Angul

O.P. Jindal School, Angul, hosted a special programme on cyber safety and awareness aimed at educating students on the responsible and secure use of digital platforms.

Welcoming the distinguished guests, the Principal, Dr. Ashwini Kumar Sahu, extended warm greetings to Upasana Padhi, Additional Superintendent of Police, and Jignyasa Behera, Deputy Superintendent of Police, DIB, along with their team members from the Industrial Police Station, Nisha, Angul.

The session commenced with students viewing a video message from the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, which emphasized the importance of digital vigilance in today’s interconnected world. The visiting officers sensitized the students on vital aspects of cyber security, including hacking, SIM swapping, phishing, and online piracy, highlighting preventive measures and safe online practices.

The informative session left the students more aware and cautious about digital threats and the need to maintain online discipline. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sahu, who expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Police Department team for their valuable efforts in empowering young minds through such an enlightening awareness initiative.
