Dalmia Cement felicitates 431 veteran contractors in Eastern India under ‘Aap Hain Sachche Viswakarma’ initiative

Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (DCBL), one of India’s foremost cement manufacturers, paid tribute to the invaluable contributions of 431 senior contractors across Eastern India through its flagship initiative, ‘Aap Hain Sachche Viswakarma’. Among them, 166 veteran contractors from Odisha were specially honoured for their decades of dedication in building homes, shaping communities, and mentoring the next generation of construction professionals.

As part of the celebrations, every honouree was felicitated with a shawl, a memento, a wall clock, and a specially curated photo album that captured their lifelong journey of craftsmanship and community service. The events were attended by senior officials of Dalmia Cement, along with dealers, family members, and members of the contractor community, fostering a spirit of pride, unity, and camaraderie.

Launched in 2020, ‘Aap Hain Sachche Viswakarma’ has emerged as a key initiative across Dalmia Cement’s Eastern operations spanning Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Bihar. Over the past five years, the programme has recognised more than 2,000 veteran contractors, giving them a platform to share their experiences, inspire younger professionals, and pass on generations of wisdom and best practices. The initiative is a testament to Dalmia Cement’s commitment to strengthening not only the nation’s infrastructure but also the communities and people who form the backbone of India’s construction sector.
