These efforts reflect our commitment to empowering communities to lead healthier, more informed lives,” said Rajiv Kumar, CEO, Vedanta Aluminium, as the company organised a free eye screening camp at the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Kashipur block of Rayagada on August 20, 2025.
Conducted in collaboration with the LV Prasad Eye Institute, the camp benefitted over 165 residents from Kashipur block and nearby villages. The initiative focused on early detection of cataract, pterygium, refractive errors and other eye-related conditions, enabling timely treatment and raising awareness on eye health among rural communities.
The camp was inaugurated by Debabrata Mallick, Inspector In-Charge, Kashipur, in the presence of Dr. Netrananda Naik, Head, CHC Kashipur, along with local healthcare workers and community representatives. Appreciating Vedanta Aluminium’s effort, Dr. Naik said, “This initiative has played a crucial role in bridging healthcare gaps in rural areas. We appreciate Vedanta Aluminium’s partnership in advancing eye health awareness and making quality care more accessible to our community.”
