In a landmark initiative aimed at enhancing public infrastructure and promoting sustainable development, Ferro Alloys Corporation Ltd. (FACOR) has successfully installed 60 solar streetlights and 60 high mast lights in Randia, Bhadrak. The project, launched under FACOR’s flagship community welfare program “FACOR Sathi Gaon Kalyan”, is a significant step toward ensuring safer and better-lit public spaces in the region.
The official inauguration of the lighting infrastructure took place on May 1, 2025, in the presence of Sitanshu Mohapatra, MLA of Bhadrak; Dilip Routrai, Collector of Bhadrak; Kamod Singh, Chief Operating Officer, FACOR; Suniti Dhal, Chief Human Resources Officer, FACOR; and other prominent dignitaries and community leaders.
This transformative initiative is designed to address key concerns such as road safety, nighttime visibility, and quality of life for local residents. By leveraging renewable solar energy and modern high mast lighting systems, the project is expected to significantly reduce road accidents, curb energy consumption, and contribute to environmental conservation.
Speaking at the event, Pankaj Sharma, CEO of FACOR, emphasized the company’s long-standing commitment to inclusive development. “We are committed to enabling safer, more sustainable communities. This project is a reflection of our dedication to long-term positive impact through collaboration with local leadership and the community,” he stated.
The initiative exemplifies FACOR’s collaborative approach to rural development.
