Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has officially launched the much-anticipated 2025 XL750 Transalp, a dynamic middleweight adventure motorcycle engineered for riders seeking limitless freedom — from urban streets to untamed trails. Priced at ₹10,99,990 (ex-showroom, Gurugram), the motorcycle is now available for bookings at Honda’s premium BigWing dealerships across the country, with deliveries slated to begin in July 2025.

Marking a bold addition to Honda’s ADV portfolio in India, the XL750 Transalp draws inspiration from its rich legacy while boasting cutting-edge technology, a versatile design, and rugged performance credentials. Designed to cater to the surging demand for adventure tourers, the Transalp is expected to set a new benchmark in the segment.

Speaking at the launch, Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director, President & CEO of Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said, “We are delighted to introduce the new XL750 Transalp in India. Since its debut, the Transalp has been a symbol of reliable adventure riding and has been embraced by explorers around the world. With the launch of this updated model, equipped with advanced features and purposeful design, we are confident that the new XL750 Transalp will surely excite India’s adventure enthusiasts.”

Echoing the excitement, Yogesh Mathur, Director of Sales and Marketing at HMSI, added, “The adventure motorcycle segment in India is growing at an exhilarating pace. With the introduction of the updated XL750 Transalp, we are raising the bar for adventure touring in India. The mountains are calling — and the Transalp is here to answer with style, performance, and purpose.”

Built to traverse diverse terrains, the 2025 XL750 Transalp is powered by a 755cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that churns out 67.5 kW at 9,500 RPM and 75 Nm of torque at 7,250 RPM. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and enhanced by electronic rider aids including a Throttle-By-Wire (TBW) system with five selectable riding modes — Sport, Standard, Rain, Gravel, and User. The setup enables customization of engine power, engine braking, and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), coupled with ABS and an assist slipper clutch for refined performance across varied conditions.

Aesthetically, the XL750 Transalp is a head-turner with a purposeful silhouette, sleek bodywork, and design cues reminiscent of Honda’s Africa Twin. The new dual LED projector headlight setup, aerodynamic visor, and rugged stance balance highway presence with off-road functionality. Riders can choose between two striking colour options — Ross White and Graphite Black.

Technology takes centre stage with a 5-inch full-colour TFT display featuring optical bonding for better visibility, and Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity via an intuitive, backlit four-way handlebar switch. Riders can access turn-by-turn navigation, calls, SMS alerts, music, and voice commands with ease. Safety is bolstered by an Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) and automatic turn signal cancellation for added confidence during sudden maneuvers.

To ensure superior ride quality, the XL750 Transalp is equipped with 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels, Showa 43mm USD front forks, and a rear shock with Pro-Link suspension. The suspension has been fine-tuned for better compression and rebound damping, enhancing off-road control. Braking is handled by dual 310mm wave discs at the front and a 256mm disc at the rear, supported by dual-channel ABS.

With its powerful performance, tech-laden features, and all-terrain capabilities, the 2025 XL750 Transalp reinforces Honda’s commitment to bringing global motorcycling icons to Indian roads.
