Industry-Parliament dialogue sets development agenda for Odisha

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Odisha convened an Interactive Session in the national capital with 14 Members of Parliament from the state, charting a collaborative roadmap for Odisha’s socio-economic advancement. The meeting brought together parliamentarians, members of the CII Odisha State Council, and senior industry leaders to align priorities for sustainable growth.

Deliberations centred on four key thrust areas — unlocking Odisha’s tourism potential through heritage and eco-based projects, fostering agro-based industries to boost value addition and rural incomes, strengthening MSMEs with better access to finance and technology, and mapping district-level industrial potential to attract targeted investments and ensure balanced regional development.

Participants emphasised the importance of cohesive action between government, industry, and local communities to drive inclusive progress. Moderated by Sunil Gupta, Chairman, CII Odisha State Council, the session reflected a shared commitment to accelerating the state’s economic priorities. CII pledged to work closely with policymakers to promote an investor-friendly ecosystem and position Odisha as a competitive growth hub.
