In the aftermath of Operation Sindoor, India’s powerful military response to cross-border terror, the nation celebrates a strategic victory — but also faces the somber reality of devastation in Jammu and Kashmir’s border villages. Amid this humanitarian crisis, Naveen Jindal, Chairman of Jindal Steel & Power and Member of Parliament from Kurukshetra, has launched a heartfelt initiative to support the displaced and affected families.
In a remarkable show of solidarity, over 20,000 employees of Jindal Steel & Power have pledged to donate one day’s salary toward the rehabilitation efforts. This initiative, spearheaded by Jindal, transforms personal empathy into a collective mission of national importance.

Lok Sabha MP of Kurukshetra and the Chairman of Jindal Steel, Naveen Jindal leads the Tiranga Yatra at Angul in Odisha.
“The citizens living along our borders are no less than soldiers. Their courage, resilience, and sacrifice inspire us all. Now, when they are in distress, it becomes our moral and national duty to stand with them,” said Naveen Jindal. “I urge every Indian and every institution to contribute to this noble cause,” he added.
The need for support follows the tragic events of April 22, when a terror attack in Pahalgam claimed innocent lives. India’s military responded swiftly with Operation Sindoor, targeting terror camps across the border. However, Pakistan retaliated by shelling Indian border villages, causing widespread destruction and displacement.
Jindal Steel’s humanitarian response continues a longstanding legacy of national service. From supplying oxygen and meals during the COVID-19 crisis, contributing Rs 25 crore to the PM CARES Fund, to providing aid during the 2013 Uttarakhand floods — the company has consistently stepped up in moments of national need.
This latest initiative not only provides tangible relief but also sends a strong message to the residents of border regions: India stands with you. It reinforces the spirit of unity, resilience, and national service that defines the soul of the country.
