In a major push to democratise next-generation artificial intelligence, Jio has elevated its AI portfolio by integrating Google’s newly launched Gemini 3 model into its Jio Gemini Pro Plan, now being offered free for 18 months to all customers on the Jio Unlimited 5G data plan. The strategic move, which significantly widens the earlier youth-exclusive offer, positions Jio at the forefront of India’s rapidly evolving AI-driven telecom landscape.

Valued at Rs 35,100, the Gemini Pro Plan is now available at no additional cost for every eligible Jio Unlimited 5G user. The company said subscribers can instantly activate the plan through the MyJio app by clicking on the ‘Claim Now’ banner, enabling seamless access to Google’s most advanced AI capabilities within seconds.

Jio emphasised that the rollout marks a powerful expansion of its AI ambitions, with the inclusion of Google’s Gemini 3 promising a transformative user experience. “Biggest AI drop of the year! Unlock Google’s newest AI model, Gemini 3. Pro Plan now free for 18 months with the Jio Unlimited 5G plan,” the company announced in a post on X, framing the integration as a breakthrough for millions of users seeking cutting-edge digital tools.

Google, which unveiled Gemini 3 globally, has described the latest version of its AI model as its “most intelligent” to date. According to the company, Gemini 3 boasts state-of-the-art reasoning abilities designed to understand depth, nuance and context with unprecedented accuracy—whether interpreting subtle cues in creative ideas or navigating the layered complexities of challenging problems. The model requires significantly less prompting, thanks to a deeper grasp of user intent and contextual awareness.

The tech giant highlighted that Gemini 3 will make a day-one debut in Search through an enhanced AI Mode, promising more complex reasoning and dynamic responses. It is also being introduced simultaneously across the Gemini app, developer platforms including AI Studio and Vertex AI, and Google’s new agentic development environment, Antigravity.

Jio’s latest AI-backed enhancement comes at a time when Indian telecom operators are aggressively adopting artificial intelligence to differentiate services, elevate customer interaction and secure competitive advantage in a fast-growing digital ecosystem. By bundling Gemini 3 into its offering at no cost, Jio aims to empower its vast 5G user base with premium AI tools while underscoring its commitment to innovation and accessibility.
