Reliance Jio has further strengthened its position as Odisha’s No. 1 digital service provider, clocking the highest subscriber additions across both mobile and home broadband segments in October 2025. As per the latest data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Jio added over 1.67 lakh new mobile subscribers in the state during the month, even as competitors Airtel and BSNL reported a decline, losing thousands of users in the same period.
With this performance, Jio’s mobile user base in Odisha surged past 1.69 crore subscribers, capturing over 47 percet market share as of October 31, 2025. This growth is attributed to the strong customer trust in Jio’s services, coupled with the technological edge of its advanced all-IP 4G and True 5G networks. Notably, the ultra-affordable JioBharat 4G phone continued enabling thousands of 2G users, especially in rural and remote areas, to upgrade to digital connectivity.
According to TRAI, Odisha’s total mobile subscriber base rose by more than 1.59 lakh, crossing 3.59 crore users by the end of October. Nationally too, Jio led telecom expansion, adding 1.6× more subscribers than Airtel, while boosting its market share to 41.4 percent. The company maintained its leadership in active users as well as wireline and broadband categories, powered significantly by JioAirFiber growth and rapid 5G rollout.
Jio also dominated the home broadband segment in Odisha, adding over 27,000 new JioFiber and JioAirFiber connections in October alone. The company’s total home broadband base in the state has now crossed 6.4 lakh subscribers, with JioAirFiber contributing over 20,000 new users in a single month as households embraced Jio’s advanced 5G FWA and UBR FWA technologies.
