JSW Steel Odisha celebrates 79th Independence Day with patriotic fervour and spirit of unity

With patriotic zeal echoing across the nation, JSW Steel’s Odisha Mining Division commemorated the 79th Independence Day with great pride and enthusiasm at its various operational sites in the state on Friday. The celebrations were held at Nuagaon Mines, Jajang Mine, Ganua Mines, Narayanposhi Mines, and the Central Offices in Barbil and Bhubaneswar, each location resounding with the spirit of unity and national pride.

At the Narayanposhi Iron and Manganese Ore Mines, the ambience turned particularly electrifying as the rousing chorus of “Vande Mataram” reverberated through the surrounding hills, creating an atmosphere charged with patriotism.

The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of JSW Steel’s senior leadership, including Sauvick Mazumder, Chief Operating Officer (Mining Business); Prasanna Panda, Odisha Mining Business Head; Ram Shankar Sharma, Head of Operations and Projects; and Chittaranjan Bahinipati, Head of HR-Admin. Their participation, alongside mine managers and employees, added special significance and dignity to the historic celebration.

The day’s proceedings commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of the National Flag, followed by a well-coordinated and spirited parade presented by the security team, symbolizing discipline, commitment, and strength. The cultural segment infused further vibrancy into the celebrations with moving patriotic songs, impactful skits, and a captivating performance of Odisha’s traditional Gotipua dance by school students. Their graceful movements and acrobatic skills left the audience spellbound, making the Independence Day observance a memorable and inspiring event.
