Motorola, a global leader in mobile technology and India’s leading AI smartphone brand, today raised the bar in the premium mid-segment with the launch of the motorola edge 70, its thinnest and most uncompromised smartphone to date. At just 5.99 mm slim and weighing a mere 159 grams, the edge 70 redefines ultra-slim engineering without sacrificing performance, battery life or durability.

Crafted with brushed aircraft-grade aluminium, the motorola edge 70 debuts an all-new Edge-series design language inspired by evolving consumer preferences. Despite its sleek profile, the device houses a massive 5000 mAh silicon-carbon battery — the largest in its ultra-thin category in India — delivering up to 40 hours of usage. Support for 68W TurboPower fast charging, 15W wireless charging, and reverse charging ensures uninterrupted productivity and entertainment.

Photography and videography emerge as major highlights, with the edge 70 becoming India’s only ultra-thin smartphone with triple 50MP AI pro-grade cameras. The setup includes a 50MP OIS main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide + macro lens, and a 50MP front camera. All three support 4K 60FPS video recording, a feature exclusive to the India variant. Powered by motoAI, the camera system offers advanced tools such as AI Video Enhancement, AI Action Shot and Pantone validated true-to-life colours, delivering professional-grade results across lighting conditions.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 Mobile Platform, making it the world’s first ultra-thin smartphone to feature this chipset. With significant gains in CPU, GPU and on-device AI performance, the edge 70 delivers smooth multitasking, immersive gaming and intelligent AI-driven experiences. An advanced vapor-chamber cooling system further enhances sustained performance.

The edge 70 also stands out for its military-grade durability, boasting MIL-STD-810H certification and IP68 + IP69 protection, along with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. Its 6.7-inch Super HD 1.5K AMOLED display offers segment-leading 4500 nits peak brightness, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Pantone validated colour accuracy for a cinematic viewing experience.

Running on Hello UI based on Android 16, the motorola edge 70 comes with three OS upgrades and four years of security updates, along with Moto Premium Care for enhanced after-sales support.

The device will be available from December 23, 2025, in a single 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant at an effective launch price of ₹28,999, across Flipkart, Motorola.in and leading retail stores nationwide.
