NTPC Northern Region concludes Hindi Pakhwada with cultural flourish in Lucknow

The spirit of linguistic pride and cultural celebration came alive as NTPC Northern Regional Headquarters, Lucknow, concluded its Hindi Pakhwada on September 29, marking the end of a vibrant fortnight that began on September 14.

The celebrations witnessed enthusiastic participation from employees and their families in a variety of competitions ranging from essay writing, poetry recitation, slogan creation, to painting, all designed to encourage the active use of Hindi in professional and creative spaces. Gautam Deb, Regional Executive Director (Northern Region), inspired employees to embrace Hindi more deeply in their official work while motivating families to join in the cultural journey.

Reinforcing the sentiment, Samiran Sinha Roy, Chief General Manager (HR), called on employees to promote Hindi usage within their departments and inspire peers to follow suit.

The highlight of the concluding day was a live Hindi drama staged in collaboration with Manch Kriti Samiti, Lucknow, which featured two compelling performances that received widespread appreciation.

Rajesh Jha, AGM (TS), lauded the artists’ efforts, making the evening memorable for all. The program drew an impressive audience including Rahul Sharma, AGM (HR), Jitendra Malhotra, AGM (Commercial), Heads of Departments, senior officials, employees, and their families, who together added to the festive spirit of the occasion.
