NTPC Northern Region HQ commences Vigilance Awareness Week with integrity pledge

NTPC Northern Region Headquarters, Lucknow, marked the beginning of Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2025 with an Integrity Pledge ceremony on 27th October. The event was led by S. K. Dubey, General Manager (Operation Services), and attended by Heads of Departments, senior officials, and employees from various divisions. The participants reaffirmed their collective commitment to uphold honesty, transparency, and accountability in every aspect of professional conduct, aligning with this year’s theme — “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.”

The week-long observance, scheduled from October 27 to November 2, 2025, aims to strengthen ethical values and enhance awareness about the importance of integrity in both personal and organizational spheres. As part of the observance, a one-day “Rashtriya Karmayogi – Jan Seva” Training Programme under the Government of India’s flagship Mission Karmayogi initiative was also organised at NRHQ. The programme focused on fostering ethical governance, capacity building, and public service excellence among employees.

To ensure wider outreach of the Vigilance Awareness message, the Corporate Communication Department, NRHQ, has launched several initiatives including the broadcast of a special radio jingle on All India Radio – Akashvani, Lucknow, along with the display of banners and standees at prominent locations within the office premises.

Throughout the week, a series of interactive activities such as online quizzes and competitions will be organised for employees to encourage participation and reflection on the values of integrity and vigilance. These initiatives underscore NTPC’s continued commitment to nurturing a transparent, accountable, and corruption-free work culture while contributing to the larger vision of building a progressive and ethical India.
