Marking the spirit of Independence Day, Uttara Club of NTPC’s Northern Region Headquarters, Lucknow, extended a noble gesture of support to specially-abled individuals by donating motorised tricycles under its CSR initiative on August 15.
The distribution ceremony was held under the guidance of Bipasa Deb, President of Uttara Club, and graced by the presence of Sangita Singha Ray, Vice President; Nupur Dutta, Secretary; along with senior members and other members of the Club. In collaboration with NTPC-NRHQ, the Uttara Club handed over five motorised tricycles to beneficiaries identified through the Divyangjan Sashaktikaran Vibhag, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
These mobility aids are expected to bring a transformative change in the lives of the recipients, offering them greater independence, ease of movement, and reduced dependence on others for their daily needs. The initiative reflects Uttara Club’s strong commitment to empowering communities and fostering inclusivity, reinforcing its vision of building a society where opportunities are accessible to all.
