NTPC Uttra Club celebrates Hariyali Teej with cultural fervour

The Uttra Club of NTPC Northern Region Headquarters marked the auspicious occasion of Hariyali Teej with immense enthusiasm and vibrant cultural displays, bringing together members in a joyful celebration of tradition and community spirit.

The event was led by Bipasa Deb, President of Uttra Club, and was graced by the presence of Sangita Singha Ray, Vice President, along with office bearers and club members. Their participation added warmth and significance to the festivities, creating a lively and festive atmosphere.

The celebration commenced with a traditional welcome, followed by a symbolic sapling plantation by the Chief Guest. This gesture underscored the club’s commitment to environmental consciousness and the promotion of greenery. The event also featured a creative vegetable carving competition, where club members demonstrated exceptional talent and imagination. The intricate and artistic displays earned praise and admiration from senior members, highlighting the spirit of innovation and participation within the club.

Cultural performances added further charm to the evening, with participants showcasing traditional music and dance that brought the essence of Teej to life. These performances were met with enthusiastic applause and contributed to the overall vibrancy of the celebration.

A major highlight of the evening was the much-awaited Teej contest, where participants were honoured for their grace, style, and festive spirit. Anjum Samdani was crowned Teej Queen, while Divya Tripathi received the title of Teej Diva. Anjali Gupta was named Teej Beautiful, Arti Nigam was recognized as Teej Sparkle, and Kanchan Verma was awarded the title of Teej Elegant.

Bipasa Deb praised the collective efforts of the members and volunteers, commending their dedication, creativity, and teamwork in organizing a successful and memorable event. She also congratulated the winners of the Teej contest for their enthusiastic and remarkable participation.
