Paradip Port is set to make waves at the upcoming India Maritime Week 2025 in Mumbai, the world’s largest maritime conclave, scheduled from October 27 to 31. Organized by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, the event will see participation from over 100 maritime nations, 200 global experts, and 500 leading maritime industries — creating a global platform for collaboration, innovation, and investment.
Paradip Port will play a pivotal role at the event, signing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth ₹1.5 lakh crore across key sectors such as shipbuilding, ship repair, port modernization, smart port initiatives, business development, and Green Hydrogen projects. Notably, Paradip Port was recently designated as a Green Hydrogen Hub — one of only three in India, alongside Tuticorin and Kandla.
The Odisha Government will also feature prominently during the conclave with a dedicated session on maritime development. Odisha has already partnered with Paradip Port Authority (PPA) for major strategic projects, including the Bahuda port development and a shipbuilding centre in Kendrapara district, poised to generate large-scale employment and economic growth.
In a significant push for maritime tourism, the state will sign an MoU for a cruise terminal in Puri during IMW 2025, to be expanded to Paradip in the next two to three years.
To raise public awareness, Paradip Port has launched a series of initiatives — ranging from captivating sand art at Paradip Beach to digital and outdoor campaigns coinciding with Diwali.
Together, Paradip Port, the Government of Odisha, and the Ministry of Ports are charting a transformative maritime future for eastern India.
