Paradip Port Authority shines at India Maritime Week 2025 with award for innovation and future vision

Paradip Port Authority (PPA) made a strong mark at India Maritime Week 2025 in Mumbai, highlighting its impressive growth trajectory, innovation-driven initiatives, and pivotal role in advancing India’s maritime vision.

The event, inaugurated by Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, along with Minister of State, Shantanu Thakur, and Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Vijay Kumar, saw active participation from key stakeholders across the maritime sector. The dignitaries visited the Paradip Port Authority’s exhibition stall, where they were warmly received by P. L. Haranadh, Chairman, PPA. Shri Haranadh briefed them on the port’s remarkable achievements, ongoing modernization projects, and strategic plans to boost capacity, operational efficiency, and environmental sustainability.

Adding to its growing list of accolades, Paradip Port Authority was conferred the prestigious Maritime Excellence Achievers Award in the category “Best Exhibit Award for Future Port Concept” during the event. The award, presented by Sarbananda Sonowal and Shantanu Thakur, was received by P. L. Haranadh on behalf of the organisation.

The honour underscores PPA’s relentless commitment to innovation and its proactive efforts toward developing a future-ready maritime ecosystem. Under the leadership of Haranadh, the port has embraced cutting-edge technologies, green initiatives, and infrastructure expansion aligned with the Government of India’s Sagarmala and Amrit Kaal Viksit Bharat visions.
