Paradip Port Authority joined the nation in a heartfelt tribute to India’s National Song, ‘Vande Mataram’, marking its 150th glorious year as a timeless anthem of unity, pride, and devotion to the Motherland.

The celebration, held at the Administrative Building of Paradip Port Authority, was graced by P. L. Haranadh, Chairman, Paradip Port Authority, along with senior officers and staff. The event commenced with the melodious rendition of ‘Vande Mataram’, filling the atmosphere with a deep sense of patriotism and reverence for India’s cultural heritage.

As part of the nationwide observance, participants joined the live broadcast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inspiring address, which highlighted the song’s historic role in India’s freedom movement and its enduring significance in shaping the nation’s collective spirit. The Prime Minister’s message served as a reminder that ‘Vande Mataram’ remains not just a song, but a symbol of India’s unity in diversity and its unwavering commitment to progress.

Speaking on the occasion, Haranadh emphasized that ‘Vande Mataram’ is more than a patriotic verse — it is an emotion that continues to inspire every Indian to serve the nation with dedication and integrity. “The song embodies our deep-rooted love for the country and reminds us of the sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters. Its message of unity and devotion remains as relevant today as it was 150 years ago,” he said.

The event concluded with the collective singing of ‘Vande Mataram’, resonating through the halls of the Port and filling hearts with pride and togetherness.
