“Paradip Port isn’t simply number one among Indian Major Ports, but first among all Indian ports in terms of rail-borne traffic,” asserted P. L. Haranadh, Chairman of Paradip Port Authority (PPA), as he set a confident tone at the Port Users Meet hosted on Friday at the PPA Convention Centre.
In a stirring keynote address, Haranadh reaffirmed the port’s leadership position and outlined a bold trajectory for the 2025–26 fiscal year, calling on the port community for “whole-hearted cooperation and dedicated efforts” to achieve a targeted cargo throughput of 161 Million Metric Tonnes (MMT).
The Port Users Meet brought together a wide cross-section of stakeholders, including port operators, logistics partners, and senior officials, in a collaborative effort to align on strategy and operational priorities. The meeting served not only as a planning session but also as a reaffirmation of the port’s evolving vision for modernization and excellence.
Chairman Haranadh emphasized Paradip Port’s forward-looking Vision 2030, which envisions the complete mechanization of all berths, underscoring the Authority’s commitment to enhancing efficiency, sustainability, and global competitiveness.
Supporting this drive, Deputy Chairman Nilabhra Dasgupta urged “Team PPA to put their best efforts forward to reach newer heights in the current fiscal,” rallying personnel and partners alike to strive for operational excellence.
The event was ably conducted by G. Edison, Traffic Manager, whose facilitation ensured productive discourse and strategic alignment among attendees.
As the port readies itself for a landmark year, the Port Users Meet solidified Paradip Port Authority’s resolve to remain a national leader in maritime logistics and a critical engine of India’s trade and infrastructure development.
