Reliance Jio empowers Odisha students with AI skills through Google Gemini Pro

Reinforcing its mission of ‘AI for Everyone’, Reliance Jio has launched an extensive outreach programme to familiarise college students across Odisha with the latest advancements in Artificial Intelligence using Google Gemini Pro. The initiative has already reached more than 600 colleges and higher educational institutions, giving thousands of students hands-on exposure to cutting-edge AI tools.

Senior Jio executives have been conducting engaging, interactive sessions introducing learners to Google Gemini — Google’s most advanced AI system—while demonstrating its practical applications across academics, technology, creativity, and collaborative learning. Students were guided on using NotebookLM for note-making and assignments, leveraging AI for coding support, project ideation, design tasks, and interview preparation. The Gemini Live feature, which responds to queries in students’ preferred languages, emerged as a key attraction. As part of the programme, students also received free access to Google Gemini 3 AI Pro.

Supporting this mission further, Jio has made the Google Gemini Pro plan available at no extra cost to all active Jio Unlimited 5G users. The complimentary 18-month subscription—valued at ₹35,100 — offers access to the latest Google Gemini 3 Pro model along with advanced AI tools such as Nano Banana Pro for AI-assisted image creation, Veo 3.1 for video generation, NotebookLM for academic research, and 2 TB of cloud storage. Eligible users can activate the plan instantly through the MyJio app and begin utilising its transformative capabilities.

The initiative also resonates with the National Education Policy’s (NEP) emphasis on digital skilling. Students can enrol in JioAI Classroom Sessions and earn a skill certification from Jio Institute, strengthening both their academic foundation and career readiness.
