In a major stride toward strengthening Odisha’s power infrastructure, Tata Power Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) has successfully energized the 33KV (Ckt-II) feeder at the newly developed 132/33KV Bahugram (Atoda) Grid in Salipur. This key development brings three bays of the grid into full operation, directly benefiting more than 10,000 consumers served by the Bahugram Primary Substation (PSS).
The infrastructure boost is a testament to TPCODL’s commitment to delivering reliable and uninterrupted power to its consumers. With the commissioning of the new feeder, residents and businesses in the region can expect improved power reliability, reduced outages, and enhanced load management — crucial factors for both day-to-day living and economic activities.
This development comes at a pivotal time when the region is witnessing a surge in power demand across residential, commercial, and agricultural sectors. By expanding its grid capabilities, TPCODL is not only addressing current consumption patterns but also future-proofing the area against growing energy needs.
“The successful charging of the 33KV feeder marks a major milestone in our ongoing efforts to strengthen power distribution across our licensed areas,” TPCODL said in a press communiqué. “We remain steadfast in our mission to develop smart, sustainable, and resilient infrastructure that not only improves customer satisfaction but also fuels regional growth,” it added.
