TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL), a joint venture between Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, has revolutionized the way its consumers pay electricity bills by offering a range of convenient digital payment options. This initiative allows users to pay bills seamlessly from the comfort of their homes, all while enjoying attractive discounts.

At present, over 1 million TPCODL consumers are reaping the benefits of digital payments. To make the process easier, TPCODL provides several platforms for payment, including UPI, the Mitra App, and other popular digital methods. Furthermore, QR codes have been introduced, ensuring quick, secure, and hassle-free payments for all users.

In addition to simplifying payments, TPCODL is also promoting paperless transactions by sending e-bills to nearly 1 million consumers each month. This not only facilitates easy access to billing information but also encourages consumers to opt for digital payment solutions. Notably, in the first phase of its QR code initiative, 58,440 consumers — mainly from the 3-phase domestic category — have already adopted the system. TPCODL is now working to expand this initiative to include even more users, bringing them into the fold of the digital payment ecosystem.

TPCODL’s CEO, Arvind Singh, expressed pride in the company’s achievement, saying: “Reaching the 1-million mark in digital payment adoption is a significant milestone for us. This accomplishment is a testament to the trust our consumers have in TPCODL and our dedication to providing a seamless, secure, and rewarding billing experience. Our goal is to equip every consumer with easy-to-use digital tools, promote paperless transactions, and contribute to the vision of a truly cashless Odisha.”

This initiative is a key part of TPCODL’s ongoing efforts to drive digital empowerment, improve customer convenience, and support the growth of a cashless economy in the region.
