TP Northern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPNODL) recently organized a key consumer meet with High Tension (HT) and Extra High Tension (EHT) consumers in Joda, reaffirming its commitment to reliable and quality power supply, a strong consumer-centric approach and continuous strengthening of power distribution infrastructure across the region.
The conference witnessed the presence of senior leadership from TPNODL, including Gajanan Kale, Chief – Odisha Distribution Business and CEO – TPNODL; Jaydeep Roy, Chief – Commercial Services and Business Excellence; Nilesh Potphode, Chief – Operation Services; Pradeep Mohanty, Chief – Projects and Civil; Ramendra Banik, Head – HR; Rashmikanta Behera, Superintending Engineer – Keonjhar; and Sujit Kumar Ratha, Executive Engineer – Joda Division, along with other senior officials and representatives from leading industries.
During the interaction, TPNODL showcased its ongoing initiatives aimed at improving electricity services, enhancing infrastructure resilience and adopting innovative, technology-driven solutions in power distribution. Industry representatives lauded the visible transformation in the region’s power distribution landscape and shared constructive feedback on further areas of improvement.
A panel discussion was also held on the role of industries in supporting India’s green energy ambitions. As part of the session, M. R. Rath, Head – Power Systems, Tata Steel, delivered a presentation on the “Relevance of Energy Conservation and the Role of Industries,” emphasizing collaborative efforts toward sustainability and efficient energy usage.
Addressing the gathering, Kale reiterated TPNODL’s unwavering focus on delivering dependable and quality power supply, driven by a consumer-first philosophy. He highlighted the company’s strong emphasis on safety, solarization initiatives and continuous infrastructure strengthening, while expressing gratitude for the trust and cooperation extended by consumers. He assured that TPNODL would continue to play a pivotal role in supporting Odisha’s growth through a robust and future-ready power distribution system.
On the occasion, Kale also inaugurated a modern meter management store in Joda to ensure efficient and high-quality meter-related services in the region. Additionally, a newly constructed 10 MVA substation was inaugurated at Barbil, which will significantly enhance power reliability for over 3,000 consumers, particularly in Barbil town, Thakurani and Belkundi areas, marking another milestone in TPNODL’s infrastructure development efforts.
