Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium, joined the vibrant celebrations of Parab 2025, the 28th edition of Koraput’s iconic cultural festival that honours the region’s rich traditions, indigenous art forms and timeless heritage. The five-day tribal festival brings together communities, artists and institutions to celebrate the cultural legacy of southern Odisha.
On the inaugural day, Vedanta Aluminium unveiled its dedicated stall at Parab 2025, underscoring the company’s deep-rooted commitment to community development and cultural preservation. The stall was inaugurated by Dr. Krushna Chandra Mohapatra, Minister for Housing & Urban Development, Government of Odisha, in the esteemed presence of Ramachandra Kadam, MLA–Pottangi; Raghuram Machha, MLA–Koraput; Pabitra Saunta, MLA–Laxmipur; Rupu Bhatra, MLA–Kotpad; Sasmita Meleka, Zilla Parishad Member, Koraput; and Manoj Satyawan Mahajan, Collector & District Magistrate, Koraput. The dignitaries lauded the festival for spotlighting tribal culture while reflecting the region’s journey towards inclusive and sustainable development.
Vedanta Aluminium’s booth offered visitors an engaging insight into its community development and cultural preservation initiatives. A key highlight was Project Adikala, the company’s programme at its Lanjigarh unit dedicated to reviving ancient indigenous art forms such as Saura painting and Dhokra metal craft. Through Project Adikala, Vedanta Aluminium has enabled over 200 rural families to secure sustainable livelihoods while preserving centuries-old artistic traditions.
