Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 commences at Paradip Port Authority

Paradip Port Authority (PPA) inaugurated the Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 today with a strong message promoting integrity, transparency, and accountability in governance. The weeklong observance, held from October 27 to November 2, 2025, aligns with the Central Vigilance Commission’s theme, “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.”

The inaugural ceremony began with the administration of the Integrity Pledge to all employees by the Chief Medical Officer of Paradip Port Authority. The pledge underscored the collective commitment of PPA’s workforce to uphold honesty, fairness, and ethical conduct in all spheres of organizational activity.

To encourage engagement and awareness, a spot quiz on vigilance was conducted among employees, testing their knowledge of ethics and good governance. Adding a creative dimension to the event, a streetplay titled “Galabata” was performed by the local theater group CANMASS, effectively conveying the significance of integrity and moral responsibility through cultural storytelling.

In a bid to engage young minds, PPA organized an essay competition for local school students in English, Hindi, and Odia on the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.” The contest sought to inspire students to embrace transparency, honesty, and accountability as essential values in civic life.

Throughout the week, PPA will host a series of activities including a walkathon, elocution contest, drawing competition, and fancy dress competition to further spread the message of vigilance and ethical conduct among employees, stakeholders, and the community at large.

Reaffirming its dedication to ethical governance, Paradip Port Authority emphasized its ongoing commitment to nurturing a culture of integrity, transparency, and public trust through continuous awareness and participatory vigilance initiatives.
